Polypropylene Hot Melt Adhesive Tape
Polypropylene with a hot melt adhesive (PH74)

This aggressive hot-melt adhesive adheres firmly and instantly to a variety of surfaces including corrugated cartons, it has an easy release and dispenses quickly enabling the user to seal more cartons in less time.

Hot Melt Tape is robust, resistant and reliable, making it perfect for general packaging purposes where reasonable strength and resilience is important. Hot melt is a durable adhesive which has a quick, strong grab as well as higher shear stretch. It will continue to perform well under constant stress. This is the product of choice in fast-moving packing environments

USES

  • Industry benchmark in quality box sealing tapes
  • Adheres instantly to a variety of surfaces
  • Good edge tear and split resistance
  • Good adhesion to fibreboard
  • Roll to roll consistency for reliable performance

Vinyl Tape

Suitable for all non-critical applications, including colour coding, bundling and safety marking, these non-corrosive, flexible vinyl tapes are ideal for protecting parts, equipment, and products from abrasions.

Features and Benefits

  • Maintains vivid colour over time for long-lasting quality
  • Can be applied by hand or with a floor applicator
  • Ideal for marking applications in light traffic areas

Paper Packaging Tape
Self-adhesive paper tape is a popular alternative to gummed paper tape as it requires no water, giving you an instant long-lasting natural acrylic adhesive which sticks to all carton surfaces. It can easily be torn by hand, has high elasticity, high heat and cold tolerance and a very high tear resistance once applied. It is used for sealing boxes, envelopes and a range of other various products.

Widely used in the crafts and framing industry, with picture framers applying it to the back of frames as part of the border/framing process. For this reason, Kraft tape is often referred to as 'framing tape' or 'framers tape'. Because the material is pliable with a very strong adhesive property it is ideal for applying to uneven surfaces and is used regularly by book binders.

Specific Guidelines for Printing Packaging Tape Artwork
Tape is printed using flexography therefore artwork must:
Use SPOT colours (1, 2 or 3 spot colours can be used)
Be in LINEWORK or use a COARSE SCREEN

Print ready artwork
Is preferably

  • a .pdf file
  • in CMYK
  • has a 3mm bleed
  • has a 5mm safe margin
  • at least 300dpi

PDF File
We prefer Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Files, with fully embedded fonts, or all fonts converted to paths. Please use the 'High-Quality Print' settings in your software package when creating the .pdf Other common software we can work with include Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, and many more. Please note! If you do not supply us an adobe .pdf there may be unexpected changes in the finished print - for this reason, we always send you a proof to approve before we go to print.

CMYK
Artwork should be supplied as Full Colour, Cyan Magenta Yellow and Blac(k) files, rather than RGB as colour differences can occur when converting from screen to print colours.

Bleed
Your artwork should have an extra border around the edge, your design may 'bleed off' into this area if it is intended to print right up to the edge of the cut final sized page.
More detailed information on bleed is available.

300dpi
Computer screen "bitmap" or "raster" images are usually 72 or 96 Dots Per Inch, when these are printed they tend to be very small, or 'pixelated', for print images a much higher detail, or resolution, image is required, usually 300 Dots Per Inch (dpi) or even higher.
If your file is a Vector format file, then resolution is not an issue.
