Rigid Signs are a key way to optimise business-related projects. Our Rigid Boards come in a choice of 3 materials, Dibond Boards, Foamex Boards and Corrugated Plastic Boards. These Durable Signs can be utilised for advertising, campaigning, wall art, promotions, events, openings, real estate, amongst other things.
Our Dibond Signs are extremely durable. With rust, fade and weather resistance, these resilient aluminium composite sheets last for years. This signage is made from a polyethylene core sandwiched between two sheets of aluminium and is 3mm thick.
Choose any size from 100 x 100mm to 1200 x 2400mm, printed single or double-sided. Dibond printing is also available with a gloss or matt laminated finish to make your signage last even longer.
Printed Dibond boards are recommended for shop and fascia signage, events and exhibitions.
Choose our Foamex Boards for reusable, strong signage suitable for use indoors and out. Available with a 3mm, 5mm or 10mm thickness, in a variety of sizes, with the option of additional lamination. We offer single and double sided printing on foamex as well drilled holes and custom shapes.
Corrugated Board (Correx)
Choose our Corrugated Plastic Boards for temporary signage suitable for use indoors and out. At 4mm thick, printed double or single sided these plastic boards offer great value for money, plus, gain additional protection from a matt or gloss lamination. We can also deliver them drilled / cut to shape and ready for use.
Display boards other large format items should have a larger margin (at least 60mm) & bleed (at least 10mm) than normal, please ask us for advice if you are unsure.
Custom shapes are available for Foamex & Correx - however acute (sharp) angles should be avoided and areas that are too thinas they may snap off the finished product.
The fee for the shape does depend on size & complexity - so please ring us to advise.
Print ready artwork
a .pdf file
has a 3mm bleed
at least 300dpi
We prefer Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Files, with fully embedded fonts, or all fonts converted to paths. Please use the 'High Quality Print' settings in your software package when creating the .pdf Other common software we can work with include Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, and many more. Please note! If you do not supply us an adobe .pdf there may be unexpected changes in the finished print - for this reason we always send you a proof to approve before we go to print.
Artwork should be supplied as Full Colour, Cyan Magenta Yellow and Blac(k) files, rather than RGB as colour differences can occur when converting from screen to print colours.
Your artwork should have an extra border around the edge, your design may 'bleed off' into this area if it is intended to print right up-to the edge of the cut final sized page. More detailed information on bleed is available.
Computer screen "bitmap" or "raster" images are usually 72 or 96 Dots Per Inch, when these are printed they tend to be very small, or 'pixelated', for print images a much higher detail, or resolution, image is required, usually 300 Dots Per Inch (dpi) or even higher.
If your file is a Vector format file, then resolution is not an issue.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help with your artwork, we offer a full design service should you need but our advice is free!
